Team Racing Seminar started the season on April 24th!
Ida Team Racers started the 2008 Season with a Team Racing Seminar by Roy Williams on April 24th.
Roy is the coach of the St. Georges sailing team and regularly takes his team to the High School nationals. We are very grateful that he could take time to share some of his knowledge with us.
Roy demonstrated various maneuvers and tactical situations with a new technology that tracks each boats course using GPS and enables playback of an entire race for analysis.
By watching various high school and collegiate races we all got a better appreciation of how to, and how not to, perform key maneuvers. We also wanted to get this technology for ourselves.
