A presentation on the basics of race management offered to anyone 16 or older who would like to know more about the tasks on a race committee team.

Presentation by Ron Hopkins - US Sailing Regional Race Officer and Senior Judge and Chairman of the NBYA Appeals Committee.
Ron is a member of the race committee’s of the NYYC, Barrington YC and Sail Newport, and frequently volunteers on many other race committees’ around the bay at other clubs. He is an advocate for “safe, fair, fun” racing.
These programs are open to all ILYC members, individuals on our waiting list and anyone who has served or plans to serve on race committee. While we hope the programs will inspire you to join the race committee, there are “no strings attached”. If you do not spend at least a few hours on the race committee this summer you will be missing some fun!! These programs are designed to be informative but also enjoyable.
