Red Cross Training

American Red Cross First Aid and CPR Training!

The American Red Cross will offer their certification program in

First Aid, CPR and AED.

June 6th class will provide lay responders on how to act in emergency situations and to recognize and care for life-threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies in adults. This will include CPR and the use of the Club AED (automatic external defibulator)

June 13th class will provide the lay responder with the knowledge and skills necessary in an emergency to help sustain life and to minimize pain and the consequences of injury or sudden illness until professional medical help arrives. This class will cover the basic first aide skills needed on the water or at home.

 

Participant will receive first aid supplies, book and certification cards

good for three years.

 

The American Red Cross fee if $65 per person. ILYC will contribute $35 of this fee with the cost to each participant of only $30.

These programs are open to all ILYC members, individuals on our waiting list and anyone who has served or plans to serve on race committee.
