ILYC 2009 Green Race Opti TEAM!
Coach: Cole Allsopp
FYI: On Thursday 7/16, the Opti. Green team will be having a pizza party to celebrate the end of a successful 1st session.  
FYI: On Sunday 7/19, the team will be traveling to Saunderstown for the NBYA #2. Please coordinate with Cole as to when to meet. The team will be loading up the trailer around 3:00 on Thursday.

Opti. Green Team Goals Summer 2009

1. Have Fun
2. Develop a firm basis of sportsmanship in all activities
3. Build confidence in sailing ability and overall character
4. Develop understanding of the Racing Rules of Sailing
5. Improve boat handling
6. Develop racing ability
7. Foster individual accountability and responsibility

Schedule of Summer Regattas

* Coach Cole and the team will determine which events are most appropriate for the team. The coach may not be present at all regattas.
7/1(Thursday): Cole and the team traveled to Weakapaug Yacht Club for their first event of the season. Unfortunately due to the thunderstorms the event has been postponed to another day (undetermined at this time).
7/9 (Thursday): Watch Hill Opti Regatta
7/19 (Sunday): NBYA Opti Regatta # 2 @ Saunderstown Yacht Club
8/3-8/6 (Monday-Thursday): Opti. New England's @ Sail Newport
8/11 (Tuesday): NBYA Opti Regatta #3 @ Bristol Yacht Club
8/17-8/20 (Monday-Thursday): NBYA Jr. Race Week @ Goddard State Park
